In 1951 Kingsbury Auxiliary Air Field, which was used as a training field for pilots, was re-commissioned as Kingdon Dragstrip until 1978. Now Kingdon operates as an executive airstrip. Four times a year, Kingdon is closed and transfers back into a dragstrip.
